PLAY DATES MATTER

Are play dates necessary in your children’s lives?  A very big YES – I think play dates are crucial!

With everyone’s busy schedules, play dates aren’t always the easiest activity to coordinate, but downtime for our children is equally as important as downtime is for us as parents.  At our play dates, I listen and watch from the sideline, and realise the opportunity it gives our children to imagine, pretend and play silly.  At the same time it gives us as as parents the opportunity to see the world from our childrens’ eyes.

When we share enjoyable experiences with others, we feel a sense of belonging.  When we are connected to others, whether at work or play, I truly believe we thrive!

“Play is the highest form of research.” – Albert Einstein
